I promise I left the room for two mintues! When I returned I realized Hope couldn't find her new toy so she decided to empty her entire toy basket and get in it. I couldn't help but to sit it upright with her and her fuzzy lovey's and snap the picture quickly. Then to realize her new toy, the Barn Yard Animal Player was in her diaper bag.Thursday, April 30, 2009

An Easter Bonnett is Pretty All Summer Long
Nap Time at Grandma's

This is a such a sweet picture! Now you have a glimpse of how Hope likes to nap. She's perfectly content as long as she has her blanky (thank you CO) and her binky. She takes the frayed edges of this blanky and rubs them on her cheeks while trying to fall asleep. That binky they gave her in the hospital (at birth) is her favorite, I tried all the cute ones especially if they had sparkles and this is the only one that satisfied her!
In case you are wondering she fills up a size 3 shoe and Im sure by summer it will be all of a size 4.

A Trip to Grandma & Grand Daddy's
Right Hand, Left Leg, Left Hand, Right Leg
Hope crawled just a bit yesterday! I was seated on once side of her room and she wanted to come to me so she started with the right hand, left leg, left hand, left leg, right hand and smack down on her forehead. Yes, she cried and I think it scared her so she wasn't up for anymore floor time for a little while. We are really not pushing her to crawl but I think she's figuring it out on her own, she does the rocking motion a few times a day!
It's funny to me how she will climb on anything she can; mommy and daddy while on the floor, she climbs while we're in the sofa together and look here to the left she was wanting to climb on the slide too! What a big girl she is, the time is passing by way too fast!!!!!!!!!!

Playtime wtih Ireland
Hope loves Ireland, whenever Ireland got close Hope wants to touch her hair, touch her ear rings, touch her face...Ireland repsonded well and just tried to get away. Its hard to believe that Ireland is 13 months old and Hope only 9, they are the same height and wear the same size clothes. Two sweet girls that we hope will be great friends in years to come.Thursday, April 16, 2009
Happy 9 Month Birthday Sweet Princess
It was a gorgeous day to get out of the house, after days of cold rain and play play play! We headed off to the park with other MOPS moms and their children for a picnic and some fun playtime. Hope loved the swing, she laughed and cackled herself silly. Hope has a swing for Daddy to hang in our yard so soon we can have this fun right at home. Our sweet girl turned 9 months old today! Looking at her reminds me of how elated we were when she was first born, each day she grows so sweet and that elation multiplies!
Her top two front teeth have poked through and she doesnt realize when she's loving on me that she actually bites me. It really hurts! All I can do is use my sturn voice to say "OUCH" and she laughs at me. Im not quite sure how to stop it this young.
This week her sheep call of "Maaaaaaa" has turned into "Mum Mum" like she's from Canada or something. Still its a sweet sound and a constant reminder of a responsibility so great.
Hope is not quite crawling, she's doing the rocking motion on all four's and scooting anywhere she wants. Once she starts she will be in full motion, watch out!
Many have commented on how social Hope has become and how friendly she is. Again today we were in a public place and she raises that hand, squeezes it back and forth and says "Hi Hi" again to a little white haired lady! She loves them!
She's eating plenty. Her favorites are yogurt, sweet potatos, pears, string beans and a new one this week..."mac and cheese".
This week, we are having some work done to our bathroom so privacy is little to none. Well I decided to sit on Hope's floor and fold her clothes while she slept in her crib. My thought is that she wouldnt see me so she would still rest with me in there. After I sat down, that stinker pulled her bumper pad back, looked at me through the crib bars and proceeded with her belly laugh. It was so incredibly cute that I laughed hard with her. Then I had to leave the room. O, the joys of parenting one so dear!
Rick and I often talk of our journey with Hope, we prayed for years that God would bless us with a child. We never ask for them to be so beautiful or sweet spirited and God gave us that anyway! Ain't He good??? We are thankful for each day with Hope and pray continually that she wants to know Jesus at a young age! Thanks for letting me update you!

Juggling Makes Her Giggle
In the days leading up to Easter Ive been sharing the Resurrection Eggs with Hope. I know she barely understands but its important to us that we begin early and she sees and hears us reading The Word. Her attention span is great for her age, she likes stories and likes to see our faces as we tell them. Of course Hope's favorite thing to do with the eggs is either eat them or shake them now that she knows they make noise. Well tonight after we were all through we were playing with the eggs and I began to juggle three of them in the air. Who would have known it would tickle her so much to watch me juggle. She giggled and giggled harder each time I through the next one up. As Rick and I laughed, Hope giggled more. We love those girl giggles, she is such a fun sweet spirited baby. How blessed we are to have her in our lives! God has done great things!!
So Glad She Loves to Play Ball
