Can you tell that I love to capture her look? She is just a beauty to us, our love for her grows deeper by the minute.
our life is filled with student ministry. We are thrilled to say these are students who have prayed us through the last year and ones we definently love to be with. This is our life as a family.
Our first few days at Student Leadership University were fun and full of new adventures...including HVN's first plane ride. By the time we got to FL, she was ready to settle down and be studious...she loves to read books.
Many people at Daddy's work love me and like to feed me cookies! Mommy and I visited Daddy at work yesterday as he and the crew were serving our community. It was my first time on a Moon Bounce, just with Daddy and I...I loved it!!!
The babies in our family are growing fast, its neat to seem them interact so well. The boys love her, can't you tell??
The morning after we arrived home from the beach we opened our mail to find many birthday card wishes for our sweet HVN. We let her look at each one after we read them to her.
I couldn't miss the opportunity to do a photo shoot of HVN on the beach. Before dinner on July 16th the sun was hding behind the clouds and the pictures came out great. It was just her and I until the crowds thought she was beautiful and wanted to watch what we were doing; of course she didn't mind.
Miss Sheila made HVN her 1st birthday cake! The funny thing is that we often see hints of red in Hope's hair so this was a fitting cake, plus it was from scratch as everything else is that Sheila makes. The students sang to her and made her feel quite special. When she first dug into her cake it didn't go to her mouth, I had to let her taste it before she would do it herself. She really is a fruit and veggie girl so the taste of something this sweet is usually rejected. But after she tried it a couple times she was ready to play!!! Needless to say I had to put her in the kitchen sink for a wipe down before leaving the dining hall! Thank you everyone for making our Princess' day so wonderful!!!
The Morrow family stayed in the cottage with us this week. So Jacob, Rebekah and Isaac brought Hope a sweet book and baby doll for her birthday present. They were so thoughtful and fun to have around this week.
Hope wanted to go shopping at Broadway on the Beach, actually she wanted to ride the rides so we took her. This was our night out with the students and we all had fun shopping, eating and hanging out! Here you can she she was not afraid of the Merry Go Around. Daddy of course wanted her to feed the ducks and fish so you see they're having their outdoor hunting moment together.
We spent a week at the beach with the youth group so Rick wouldn't miss Hope's 1st birthday. She loved the ocean and the waves splashing on her, she never cried when it got in her face and motioned for more. We thought that she would enjoy it since she loves the tub. I was afraid she would try to eat the sand but she didn't. She actually wanted me to wash it off of her hands, funny how she doesn't like to be dirty. It's so precious to watch her world expand and know she is enjoying life.
Grandma Nicely had a knee replacement a couple weeks ago, so we dressed up and went to see her at the rehab center. She is doing great and will soon be able to play on the floor with little Hope.
Little Miss HVN is a scavenger, she will put anything on the floor in her mouth. I was mortified last week when she handed me a bug out of her mouth!! These pictures happen to be taken when she was eating her gold fish, crackers that is, and had put a couple in her pocket!!! Go figure!!!
