"Always Give Thanks to the Lord"

We wake up each day and have no reason not to be Thankful. God has blessed us more than we deserve or understand.
We have our health, Salvation, love of family and friends, our home and plenty to eat, toys to play with and fresh air to breath. The list could go on.
We spent Thanksgiving with the "N" side of the family. HVN loves her PaPa and GG time. As she grows the more she understands her love for them and vice versa, her "time" love language is so evident when she's with them. She enjoys doing whatever they invite her to do.
I've been talking to HVN more about adoption lately and reminding her that I'm so thankful that God grew her in my heart. I've shared more of a sweet birth mother who grew her in her belly and chose for us to become her real parents. When I shared this again yesterday HVN said, "whats her name?" So I told her and she responds with, "She's my friend!" I teared as I thought that was so very sweet....I told her that I believe her birth mother prays for her and deep in her heart thinks of her often. It's so important to us that she developes an appreciation for her life's story and what God has done with her testimony already.
What a VERY SWEET HEART our little girl has...for that we are BEYOND THANKFUL!!!!!

Me: Thank you for helping Mommy!

In the mornings HVN says, "mommy I need my purple cereal (her special K) chocolate milk and my Mictey Mouse) I spelt that as she says it too! (she is my creature of habit and desires routine)

Bedtime HVN says, "read to me 2 books, mommy rock me and go night night with me!"

HVN" "I do all myself"...that is everything she does all herself.

Mommy: "I love you HVN"
HVN: "I love you more"

"She Thinks We're Just Fish'n"

I love how you can see her personality here. She certainly thought she and her daddy were just fishing, but we all know otherwise. I love when her daddy initiates time with her...she loves to be with him and you can see here she loved fishing!
Can you believe she caught this fish on her very 1st cast ever???? True!!

AWANA Crazy Hat Night

Look at my sweet girl....she was so excited to Win!!! The night before we traced her hands 10 or times to try and make little turkeys. On the front hand we wrote her verse, "Always give thanks to the Lord for evry thing." On all the little fingers we wrote what she was thankful for...she made sure to ask me several times if I had put her friend Hunter's name on there. She was sure to write grandparents, mommy and daddy, food, "her house", all the Cubbie workers and Pastor David and a few others. It's so fun being a Cubbie mom but more than that....I love hearing her recite the WORD!!!!!

Family Fall Festival & Trick or Treating

This was the first year that we went Trick or Treating and HVN couldnt believe she could knock on doors for CANDY. She rarely gets it so it was quite a treat for her.
Her big girl room is decorated with Princess Dresses hanging from a pretty white shelf so she had her pick as to who she wanted to be. She so favors Cinderealla with her "blonde hair and forget me not blue eyes!" So I was glad she chose to be Cinderella.
Our church hosts a Family Fall Festival at the mall each year and she played lots of games with her cousins and got candy for that too. I suppose if we let it that candy basket will be around for a year or so.....cause she's not getting it everyday!!!
