Why Do They Grow So Fast???

I so often wish I could freeze time and keep HVN small and protected. She has a such a sweet disposition that shines in her eyes each day. She and I love to take walks around the driveway, water the flowers, swing, play ball, pick up stick and rocks and the list goes on. But one of the things HVN continually points out is the airplanes flying over head, we're not far from a small airport and she hears and points out each one even when we're inside. Now when she does it I say. "yes Amelia....there goes another airplane." She's fascinated with them. I took these shots today as we had a lazy Sunday afternoon while Daddy was finishing up school work. I appreciate how the Lord uses His beauty and the things around us, especially children to remind us of His goodness. HVN shirt is a also a huge reminder as it says..."I know I'm special God don't make no junk." I know that's right!!!! (thx N family for the t-shirt).

Simple Things In Life

We're so fortunant that Hope loves to enjoy the simple things in life...an outside campfire, flowers, swinging and just playing to her hearts content.

21 Months Old

As Hope is growing she is naturally much busier than she has ever been. Fortunantly she is also getting smarter by the day and learning with assistance and on her own. She amazes me as she recalls places, people, foods and activities that are her favorite. Her face lights up with joy at the sight of the playground, her PaPa, her daddy and chocolate(to name a few). Easter did that one for me. I could not tell her she was not allowed to eat the candy she found. So, after lunch or dinner she's been asking for chocolate instead of her usual vanilla wafer. This past week I felt as though I had arrived once she began to eat what we ate for dinner, chicken/asparagus/terriyaki stir fry and she loved it.
My favorite times are still the same; reading books, taking walks, listening to her, singing with her and playing the ump-teen nursery rhymes that my MaMa and Nanny use to sing. All with hand motions of course. Miss Hope has a singers/dancers heart. The more Kindermusik classes she takes the more fascinated she is with music and motions.
I can't seem to go anywhere these days where someone says "enjoy these days they go by so fast." Tis true, they do go by so very fast but the later will always happen. Im blessed to work at home so I schedule my time to work as Hope sleeps. Therefore, I enjoy every moment I can with her. At times I leave her with others who love and adore her, but for the msot part she's the best side kick I could ever have in the business. She has shown many a houses with me and likes to remind me that its her turn at my computer.
Her sweet face, her sweet smell, her sweet self couldn't be more of a blessing!
Grateful beyond words for my little piece of HVN.

Easter Weeknd with GG & PaPa

We spent Easter Saturday with GG & PaPa as their church had an Easter Egg hunt, puppet show and story time for HVN. She loves being with her grandparents and they love having her. Not to mention that we all love GG's cooking and fabulous meal she always has ready for us.

HVN's 1st Hair Cut

Not a one cry nor whine! She was so good. Her hair needed just the ends clipped where her bald spot grew in and just enough to make it grow. She watched mommy get hers done then took her turn. Miss Tanya was awesome with her!
