It was that day Ive been dreading, the day she gets her shots.
She was so cute smiling and cooing at the Dr with arms and legs just a going. He even said he hated to do this to her today, she was in such a good mood. Thats how she is 99% of the time. She had no idea what was coming to her. Then she squealed and screamed like Ive never heard her scream. Ricky had to hold her while I stood behind him in tears praying it would be quick. I'm no good at this type of thing! After we went to the car she calmed down and went right to sleep. She woke up to eat then went back to sleep for a long afternoon nap! Today, she is exactly 12 weeks old!!

It was so good to see all 3 of you today. Hope was as cute as can be, even after her shots. You all are just beaming with joy..Praise Him

That's exactly how Ireland's first shot appt. went. It killed me, especially because of the fact that she was just so happy and in such a good mood. She let out that hurt cry and it just broke my heart in two. I had to hold her (Richie couldn't get off work to come), and that made it even harder. She was totally fine when it was done and I picked her up and held her, then she would just go right to sleep. That's pretty much been the routine the past 3 times we've been there and had to get vaccinations each time. It does get a bit easier, but it still kills me. She's starting to catch on now, too.
