The Historic Battlefields are GORGEOUS Right Now

I treasure our Sunday afternoon walks and family time!
This week has been especially stressful, however God has given me great peace today. We have both birth parents consent for E's adoption as of this past Friday. Pray us through this seven day revocation period. Not just us, but both birth parents as I know it equally hard for them.
After that we begin a 90 day period where three post placement visits must occur by DSS, the a petition to the Court for Adoption.
We are almost there, thankfully E has been with us almost two years and is a BIG part of our hearts and family already.

Fall Is Gorgeous on the East Coast

Happy 4th Birthday Sweet E!

This year we decided to do family trips instead of big birthday parties. The VA Safari was the perfect gift for my animal loving girl. We all loved it but she was beyond thrilled to feed the animals from the car, hold the birds, pet the deer and so much more.
E has come so far this year. She's pretty amazing never meeting a stranger, she loves church, playing outside and climbing. She loves to laugh and be silly. Her favorite foods are pizza, corn dogs, bacon, chocolate and Rita's Italian Ice. She weighs 34 lbs, she's grown 3.5" since April and is 40" tall.
E knows her letters, numbers and is cutting like a champ thanks hand strengthening activities with play dough.
E is a sweet spirited joy to have around. Something tells me she going to be my "Overcomer!" We've given her that song as she never stops overcoming the obstacles in front of her!
We thank God for her life and love she shares!

Our 1st Teacher Note & Class Time

There is great peace for parents when the Lord directs our steps and shows us in different ways that He lead us to the Perfect school.
This was our first note, it warmed my heart. I knew the napkin notes would encourage H's love language and it does. She loves them and she has saved every one of them for her scrapbook.

H's teacher is beyond fabulous! She allows H to work and go as far as she can go. She does not hold her back because she is in Kindergarten. The day I got this picture, I dropped to tears as I knew H was where she needed to be. She is one who like to finish what she starts and she works hard to complete the task. This picture was taken the 3rd week of Kindergarten.

The Math work below was done during her independent time.
We have told H from the beginning that we do not expect perfection or all A's, we only expect her to give it her Best!
I believe she is doing just that = 1 Proud Mommy & Daddy!

B Week

E loves doing school at home with Mommy, just like H did!

Stay-cation

This Fall's vacation was at home since we are now a family with school nights.
We made the most of each day after H got home from school.
This family loves fishing (well 3 of them love it).
I love the smiles and watching them enjoy the outdoors with Daddy.
These pictures are starting to make me realize how big they are. We are officially out of the Toddler section in the stores (which I can't stand the big girl clothes, but that's a whole other blog).
One thing is for sure, we have happy, healthy, loving children that are learning and growing.
We pray daily for their salvation as they are at a stage of asking many questions.
I pray they are steps closer to knowing Jesus as Savior soon.
