Welcome to 5th & 3rd Grade

It's really happening......

Hope began 5th grade and Emmi began 3rd grade!

Both are great students and love school, what a blessing I know!

Yep, I let them put a streak in their hair!

One chose aqua and one chose pink.

A garden of yes's, there is so much we already have to say wait or no to!

My precious girls! 

First day of school is so hard on this momma.

I love having them home and experiencing all the summer fun!

They adore him....like REALLY ADORE him!!!!

I'm so thankful for their relationship with him.

He is intentional!

Forgive Me

I'm in a time of reflection and not wanting to miss the moments, so I'm being intentional, present and often away from my computer.
I see the fall of 2018 is missing from my blog and I want to do my best to catch up those who love and care for our girls.
2018 was a time of healing and beginning again without one of the first men I ever loved, my Dad. Each holiday, ring of a phone, turning corners, drives to Maryland, listening to voicemails, times of honoring him and he wasn't there. It wasn't him on the phone that was ringing, he was physically gone from the moments built in 2018.
Our family is healing in different ways, learning to value life more and appreciate the small things experienced. This is a huge life lesson for us all!
The however in all of this, is that GOD IS STILL GOOD when we hurt and lose those we love. He's good whether we have little or plenty. We will keep going as there are so many to still love, so many to lead to Christ and so much life to enjoy!

Happy 10th Birthday to A Beautiful Young Lady

10! 10 ya’ll !! God is the giver of all good things and I am eternally grateful for the gift of “HVN” ! She cares, she loves deeply, she’s thoughtful and kind and considers others! I love her heart and all she reserves for her family. She’s gifted musically and loves her piano, she’s a lego loving queen and the best big sister to E! HVN loves home, chocolate, people and Jesus! I pray her love of snuggling her mommy never ends because my arms want to hold her forever!!!

Today, we took time to pray and thank God for her Birth Family, especially her first mom! We are forever grateful for her gift of life for HVN!!!

(Above I had HVN do a photo shoot in her favorite dress up dress last week, Im having a hard time narrowing it down but will post more soon!) She's a dreamer and I didn't want this stage to pass without an album full of pictures!!!

Thank you for your selfless act of choosing life and us as parents, we are eternally grateful and know God has been good to us!

Today, may you have joy knowing our girls are LOVED, strong, loving, healthy, happy children!!!

Forever Family Day Celebrations

GWL is a favorite place for us in the Winter time!

The girls are like FISH and love to swim.

We make our annual Forever Family Day celebration here and its so fun.

We are truly grateful that God chose to make us a family.

Molding children is not easy, yet it worth the love and investment into their lives.

Emmi will soon be Baptized and we're so proud of how she and Hope live

out their faith in Christ.

Christmas 2017

Our girls had a beautiful Christmas! 

We spent time with friends in NC staying in a real treehouse and going on the Polar Express. It as magical, even for us adults.

We are blessed to be together and enjoy laughs, time and fun with many we love.

This Christmas was different without their Gpa/my Dad. We are learning to live life without him and its not easy, we MISS HIM!!!!!

I hope you see how happy and sweet our girls are, they love life and are doing so good in school. It takes work but both are committed to doing well.

Hope Victoria continues to enjoy piano lessons and learning music. She plays beautifully.

Emmi loves sports, its hard to keep her down as she is a GREAT athlete!

We hope our Birth Families had a beautiful Christmas! We love you all!

Pray for their hearts, Gpa is with Jesus

Our girls have loved my daddy! He is known to them as G-pa. Hope named him that when she was just a year and a half and began talking.

Dad loved the Lord and we are at peace knowing we will spend eternity with him and others we love.

Dad had a gentle spirit with the kids, he was loving, kind and loved by many people.

Please pray for the girls as this is the first loved one they've  lost in their little lives. Their hearts hurt yet we turn our tears to smiles as we talk about the memories.

I'm so thankful that Dad fought cancer, since 2004 and God allowed him many good years to meet and spend time with our girls.

Only God is that GOOD!
