Stay-cation

This Fall's vacation was at home since we are now a family with school nights.
We made the most of each day after H got home from school.
This family loves fishing (well 3 of them love it).
I love the smiles and watching them enjoy the outdoors with Daddy.
These pictures are starting to make me realize how big they are. We are officially out of the Toddler section in the stores (which I can't stand the big girl clothes, but that's a whole other blog).
One thing is for sure, we have happy, healthy, loving children that are learning and growing.
We pray daily for their salvation as they are at a stage of asking many questions.
I pray they are steps closer to knowing Jesus as Savior soon.

The Pictures Explain Our Last Month

This last month has been packed with learning to deal with "K-School Nights", homework, pre-school fun and learning to incorporate family time and all the joys of Ministry and Life.
I try very hard to slip in "snuggle parties" for the girls that end up with short naps. I'll take what I can get. It certainly rejuvenates them so they are ready when daddy comes home.
H is loving Kindergarten, new friends, Reading, math and she says the favorite part of her day is "when Mommy picks me up." I love that, but I also love that she loves to go to Kindergarten. Each day she has been excited to go in and get started.
E is still missing H and ask me several times a day " is it time to get H'y yet?"
However, she loves doing school with me. She's writing her name, doing puzzles alone, recognizing numbers and putting them in order and more. I'm so proud of her for wanting to learn.

Can you say TRANSITION!!!!

Wow! I feel so blessed to be a mom at home who can take my girl to school and be home later with my youngest. I love being available to hear about Kindergarten during our afternoon snack time.
However, its a transition now having "School Nights!" Especially after AWANA getting out at 8pm. Its all I can do to go in over drive at 8pm, pick up girls, get home, bathe them, read, pray and say Good Night!
H and E are thriving and learning so well, what a gift God has given us in healthy children that love to learn. H is 5 in Kindergarten, E is 3 and taught Pre-K at home with Mommy!

Kindergarten, the Class of 2026 begins!

She was so ready for today as she goes into Kindergarten a reader, writer and full of life.
Her favorite thing today was meeting new friends older than her.
Before she got out of the car she gave her treasured blankey to E and said "you take good care of my blankey while Im gone ok??!!" and to me, she squeezed me tight and said "you know I love you Mommy!"
Any pictures taken of me had a fake smile, until she said that.....

Kindergarten Orientation

God's plan is that they grow and we cheer them along the way; guiding, protecting, loving, teaching and so on.
The day is here whether I'm ready or not...NOT!!!!
I've LOVED every minute of every day home with her, but I'm very excited for the opportunity she has at this school. She's going to thrive and love it. When I dropped her off I was able to snap a couple pictures then I left and cried the whole way to the Mall. I just couldn't go back home.
I think come next week the transition will be hardest on E, she's going to miss her idol!

She's 5 years old, 39.9 lbs, she loves fruit snacks and chocolate. Emmi, Hunter and Ireland are her very best friends. She adores DocMcStuffins and Leap Frog. She loves to please Mommy and Daddy and is sensitive to things of the Lord. She's excited to take piano lessons at school, her love language is TIME, she loves to serve and she has a very cute sense of humor.
When ask "I want to be my Mommy when I grown up!" Literally for the last year she says that! I'm honored.

I AM Simon

Jesus said to him, "Simon, I have something to tell you!"
As I sat in services this morning I couldn't get this line out of my head and heart. The events of this past week were a constant reminder to me that the Lord is working and trying to teach me a lesson.
Thursday as I sat for a pedicure I prayed, you know instead of Prayer Walk'n I do Prayer Pedicures.
As I poured out my heart in reference to E's adoption process and the lack of work I had for September the Lord was at work around me and anxiously waiting to bless us.
That same evening I received a tex from a past client and now dear friend that shared my business card. That same evening the Home Buyer called me and said, "I'm coming to town on Saturday, I have to find a house and close in September."
Then, Friday we had a sweet family day. While on our way to Rita's (our girls favorite Italian Ice spot) we received a call from the attorney. Before I share what she said let me say that another part of Thursday's praying was petitioning the Lord for the attorney to visit Birth Father by Friday in jail "In Case" he got out on good behavior. So, the attorney's call was to say she had visited him that morning and her very words were "Michelle it must have been God cause the trial Im in is deep and I can't believe they canceled it today." We are thankful her other trial was canceled so she could meet with Birth Father. The good news is that he has signed consent for the adoption.
See how the Lord works when we pour out our hearts to such a loving and faithful God!!!!
There's more...Saturday I looked at houses with that family, wrote an offer, agreed on the terms and are closing on September 24th, AND isn't it just like our Lord to allow them to love a home with the agent bonus? Better than that, the family is an adoptive family. Only Jesus does sweet stuff like that. So a few weeks ago when I shared that we were about to pursue E's adoption and God was about to share the funds....well He's begun the sharing....and when you trust Him there's always more.
Friends, I am Simon, I am that woman that should be washing Jesus feet. I want to hear him and I want Him to want to "Tell me Something!"
Thank you Pastor D, Our awesome Children's Pastor that preached today...his content was perfect and the Holy Spirit used it to pierce my heart in may ways, I am humbled that God can use a prostitute to teach us true worship.
On my way home Saturday evening the praise music was loud, the sun roof open, the tears flowing and others around me thought I was crazy. BUT I was full and in awe of those simple prayers prayed this week and how Christ answered...told Rick I need more Prayer Pedicures...right??!!!
As we're in this 7 day revocation period with Birth Father, pray for him and his heart to be at peace. Pray as we petition the court for a date for Birth Mother to sign. Her signature is required in court.
After the signature, the County will begin our Home Study then we can petition the Court again for an Adoption Date.
Thank you friends!!!!
