...and he wisps her in the air!

He is her Knight and Shining Armour right now. All is dropped when his truck drives up the driveway. Her feet go dashing. Her arms start flying until she reaches him and he wisps her in the air...as she hopes he will do each time. And he does. She has an endless supply of kisses for him and she knows his lap is always open for her. She adores wrestling and dressing up just to hear him say "You are so beautiful" one more time and He does...several times a day. See why she's a princess? And a sweet one she is....more often than not!

My Favorites: Family, Fall & Fun

I love our local farm, there's so much to do and lots of memories to be made. HVN was so thrilled to find the pumpkins of all different shapes, sizes, textures and too many to count. She only counts to five in order so she repeated that umpteen times. We've taken her to this farm each year but this year she's been able to really enjoy all they offer and we've enjoyed her watching her smiles.

Fall 2010

We have a very special Plantation here in town,we love to go and spend all day there. HVN"s favoirite part this year is the zip line swing. Daddy pushed her and as she was going faster she raised her hands as if on a roller coaster instead of holding on tight. We knew we had a brave little one on our hands! These days are beautiful, we're so grateful for our family time and time with friends!

Happy 13 Year Anniversary

Rick and I celebrated our 13 year Anniversary while at the beach and it was a beautiful place to do so. Ive attached a few of my favorite pictures of the special people God has blessed me with in the last thirteen years. Our prayer is that as we walk hand in hand or side by side over the years that we will be sensitive to what we do and say as we have "little feet" following in our foot steps.

Our Other Sanctuary

The silent sounds of the ocean are breath taking, our view captivating and our family time was priceless. We reserved this time after Rick's busy summer schedule. It was HVN's third time at the beach, however she had not been for a year. In Kindermusik we have been learning about "Creatures of the Ocean" so we've been singing the songs and doing hand motions about the beach for a couple months now. When we arrived it hit her that thats what we've been singing about...the ocean, sea gulls, sand in my sandles, sail boats, star fish and more. I took all her ocean and fish books with us so we could continue on. I love that God created the mind like that of a sponge...even at 2. The weather was perfect with no humidity which made it hard to leave.
One thing God has shown me of HVN is that when things that seem scarey come her way ie., big waves, animals, mommy and daddy crawling to get her and play... she does not run away. She runs to them/us. I directed my prayers and ask God to make her like a "David" in that she would run to Him when faced with giants in her life. I pray she is a woman who runs to the battle knowing her Savior will conquor the giants for her. Vacations are a gift and a time to recoup for the work God has called us to.

Alpha & Omega

Today we took HVN to her first Movie, Alpha and Omega. She loved it. It's a sweet animation about wolves. The best part was that it had a train in it several times...and she loves trains. Each time she saw it she said "chugga chugga woo hoo...chugga chugga woo hoo!!!
