HVN's 1st Trip to Play on the Beach

We spent a week at the beach with the youth group so Rick wouldn't miss Hope's 1st birthday. She loved the ocean and the waves splashing on her, she never cried when it got in her face and motioned for more. We thought that she would enjoy it since she loves the tub. I was afraid she would try to eat the sand but she didn't. She actually wanted me to wash it off of her hands, funny how she doesn't like to be dirty. It's so precious to watch her world expand and know she is enjoying life.

Let's Go See Grandma!!!!

Grandma Nicely had a knee replacement a couple weeks ago, so we dressed up and went to see her at the rehab center. She is doing great and will soon be able to play on the floor with little Hope.
I've been snapping many pictures since she'll soon be one, she almost looks like she's past a year but she's not...she's still our baby girl and always will be!!!!

What'cha Hide'n In Those Cheeks Girly Girl???

Little Miss HVN is a scavenger, she will put anything on the floor in her mouth. I was mortified last week when she handed me a bug out of her mouth!! These pictures happen to be taken when she was eating her gold fish, crackers that is, and had put a couple in her pocket!!! Go figure!!!

We Found 2 More Teeth Tonight

That means HVN will have a total of eight teeth on her first birthday!!! O my, I can't believe it! Her two new ones are on the bottom, one on each side of the two showing in this picture.
So yep, she's just about ready for steak!

There Is A Very Special Occasion In Our Family Next Week

We will head to the beach on Sunday with the "big kids" for a week. While we are there our HVN will turn one year old. O, how I tear up with I think of God's grace and provision over the last year. I think of the first time I laid eyes on HVN...it was then that I fell in love all over again. I'm amazed at all that God has created our little girl to be, she is one sweet bowl of sugar!!!
She is clapping her hands, stomping her feet and raising her hands to the "If You're Happy and You Know It" song, she's kissing away and sharing that love that we can't get enough of!!
Almost one year old, we are blessed beyond what we could have ever imagined!

Happy Birthday America!!!!!!!!

We've tried for a very long time to teach HVN the "I Love You" sign, here she's doing it but I don't know if she knows she's doing it. We were tickled by it!! The dress she's wearing was her cousins dress that she wore last year when she was eighteen months old, but who cares? HVN is a great size, matter of fact I've been putting some whole milk in her bottle to fatten her up a little. I'm starting to see those ribs. But she eats like a champ. She gets 3-4 bottles, yogurt and cereal for lunch, an afternoon snack, veggies or pasta and some fruit for dinner and whatever else we eat she wants. So, needless to say she must be working off those calories while playing so hard. She's a growing girl and we are so very proud of her. Can't ya tell?????

Happy Bithday America!!!

Daddy is home safely so we rested at home today. Well, we rested as much as we could with an 11 month old. As you can see here she enjoyed her first popsicle in the pool...she really did like it reguardless of the face you see below. Then you'll see that Daddy was teaching her to go down her slide and she kept coming back for more. That is the look of a fearless face when she was on the whale slide. This day seem to ware her out since she was in bed by 7:45 tonight!!!
