Looking Forward to a Merry Christmas

We are praying and preparing for a Merry Christmas. No matter where we are or what we do, we look forward to being together and celebrating Jesus' birthday. This month we've tried to prepare HVN for Jesus' birthday by playing with her manger scene together, pointing out the baby Jesus wherever we see Him, reading "What is Christmas" to her daily and we allowed her to watch the church Christmas play; she lasted about fourty minutes. More importantly we are praying that He grows her heart and gives her a desire to know the Savior. HVN is at such a fun age as she's learning and retaining so many new things. She knows who her baby Jesus is in her manger scene, she points or signs to most everything she wants including all the Grand parents pictures. Then she'll go to the door as if asking to go see them. Her favorite thing right now is Fire Trucks. They frequent our road and she can make their sound quite well. It was a special treat while at Pro Bass Shop yesterday that one arrived when we were there and the guys let her sit in it. She might just have one with all the bells and whistles under the tree this year. Today we will venture to make our annual "Happy Birthday Jesus" cake together...she's gonna love the mess. It's still snowy here today, very cold and more snow is on the way. That is why we just don't know where we'll be for Christmas, none the less it's all good as God has provided all we need to be happy and warm.
