Kindergarten Orientation

God's plan is that they grow and we cheer them along the way; guiding, protecting, loving, teaching and so on.
The day is here whether I'm ready or not...NOT!!!!
I've LOVED every minute of every day home with her, but I'm very excited for the opportunity she has at this school. She's going to thrive and love it. When I dropped her off I was able to snap a couple pictures then I left and cried the whole way to the Mall. I just couldn't go back home.
I think come next week the transition will be hardest on E, she's going to miss her idol!

She's 5 years old, 39.9 lbs, she loves fruit snacks and chocolate. Emmi, Hunter and Ireland are her very best friends. She adores DocMcStuffins and Leap Frog. She loves to please Mommy and Daddy and is sensitive to things of the Lord. She's excited to take piano lessons at school, her love language is TIME, she loves to serve and she has a very cute sense of humor.
When ask "I want to be my Mommy when I grown up!" Literally for the last year she says that! I'm honored.

I AM Simon

Jesus said to him, "Simon, I have something to tell you!"
As I sat in services this morning I couldn't get this line out of my head and heart. The events of this past week were a constant reminder to me that the Lord is working and trying to teach me a lesson.
Thursday as I sat for a pedicure I prayed, you know instead of Prayer Walk'n I do Prayer Pedicures.
As I poured out my heart in reference to E's adoption process and the lack of work I had for September the Lord was at work around me and anxiously waiting to bless us.
That same evening I received a tex from a past client and now dear friend that shared my business card. That same evening the Home Buyer called me and said, "I'm coming to town on Saturday, I have to find a house and close in September."
Then, Friday we had a sweet family day. While on our way to Rita's (our girls favorite Italian Ice spot) we received a call from the attorney. Before I share what she said let me say that another part of Thursday's praying was petitioning the Lord for the attorney to visit Birth Father by Friday in jail "In Case" he got out on good behavior. So, the attorney's call was to say she had visited him that morning and her very words were "Michelle it must have been God cause the trial Im in is deep and I can't believe they canceled it today." We are thankful her other trial was canceled so she could meet with Birth Father. The good news is that he has signed consent for the adoption.
See how the Lord works when we pour out our hearts to such a loving and faithful God!!!!
There's more...Saturday I looked at houses with that family, wrote an offer, agreed on the terms and are closing on September 24th, AND isn't it just like our Lord to allow them to love a home with the agent bonus? Better than that, the family is an adoptive family. Only Jesus does sweet stuff like that. So a few weeks ago when I shared that we were about to pursue E's adoption and God was about to share the funds....well He's begun the sharing....and when you trust Him there's always more.
Friends, I am Simon, I am that woman that should be washing Jesus feet. I want to hear him and I want Him to want to "Tell me Something!"
Thank you Pastor D, Our awesome Children's Pastor that preached today...his content was perfect and the Holy Spirit used it to pierce my heart in may ways, I am humbled that God can use a prostitute to teach us true worship.
On my way home Saturday evening the praise music was loud, the sun roof open, the tears flowing and others around me thought I was crazy. BUT I was full and in awe of those simple prayers prayed this week and how Christ answered...told Rick I need more Prayer Pedicures...right??!!!
As we're in this 7 day revocation period with Birth Father, pray for him and his heart to be at peace. Pray as we petition the court for a date for Birth Mother to sign. Her signature is required in court.
After the signature, the County will begin our Home Study then we can petition the Court again for an Adoption Date.
Thank you friends!!!!

Happy 5th Birthday ....

...to our Little Piece of HVN!!!

On the morning her birthday we had her favorite breakfast of Pancakes, she awoke to her tree up and presents in Christmas wrap. All year she has talked about Christmas in July being a perfect gift. She was determined for a Santa Cake (keeping watching...)
Then we drove to PA to be with Daddy and the teens on Mission, where all her big brothers and sisters celebrated with her. Some of the College students were along with us on her first birthday on the beach. They all love our girls dearly and treat them with such kindness. They are witnesses to God's hand in her life. I pray they see what a blessing adoption is by watching our family and being a part of life with us. Daddy had a cake ready for her and so did the cook...as she remembered how much HVN like ladybugs!

We then stayed in PA a couple days to assist with our Church Planters Block Party where HVN was a great help in the Serving line. She loves to serve and wait on others.
When the teens left, daddy stayed with us and we went to the "Sweetest Place on Earth, Hershey Chocolate World!" HVN picked it and loved it. Her favorite part was Create a chocolate bar and create the wrapping.
Little did we know until two days before her birthday that the "the Sweetest Place on Earth" that she chose to visit, would be having Santa for Christmas in July. She was stoked to say the least, that was on the morning of our breakfast with him and the other Hershey Characters.
Her words "Best Gift EVER!!"

The next morning before heading for home we enjoyed breakfast with all the Hershey Characters, Candy Bingo, cookie decorating, eating and lots of fun! Best part is the girls got to see Summer Santa...I love how the Lord uses small things like this to make my children smile!

Finally, mommy had ordered her Santa cake for 5-10 people. When I picked it up it was enough for 40. So I made calls and rounded up her besties for one more celebration...AT HOME. WE LOVE HOME!!!

It was a Happy Celebration for all of us. Our point in not having a big party and doing a family event was to give us some alone time after all Daddy's summer events with the big kids were complete.
Perfect ending to a very busy but worshipful and purposeful summer.
On HVN's Birthday we were driving back to where we were staying and HVN ask me " Mommy, did God celebrate my birthday today?"
After I choked up a bit I explained to her "O yes, He celebrates you as His creation EVERYDAY....and on and on I went." Im so blessed to be the one watching the Lord draw her heart to Himself. Im thankful on that day, her birthday she was thinking of Him and concerned if He was a apart of her special day.
My prayer is that we all know how very much He celebrates US everyday!

PaPa aka Hero of the Year

Not a birthday present but a Perfect Gift for both girls!!!
Spanky is the newest addition to our family. He lives with PaPa & GG but the girls are enjoying him most.

Almost Happy Birthday to HVN

A Merry Birthday it will be....
All year H has reminded us that she wants a Santa Clause cake for her birthday. We let her pick out the cake, thus we have "Santa upside over!" At least that's what she calls it.
So, we will awake to Christmas Carols, her tree up, gifts wrapped in Christmas paper and best of all the Park we are visiting has "Christmas in July." We just found this part out this week, she's gonna flip, especially when she sees Santa!
My Christmas loving girl, one who loves to give gifts, one who is sensitive to the Baby Jesus and the one who didn't like Santa for so long will enjoy Christmas in July!
More pictures to follow when we return home!
Please pray that her day is special and she knows and feels the love of her family!!!!

HVN-ism

HVN: "Mommy, are you sad that I'm turning 5?"
Me: "H, you are such a sweet, caring and kind person who loves to learn. So I'm exited to see God's plan for you life and I'm gonna be here cheering you on!"
HVN: "Well you better get your pom poms!"

She cracks me up!!!!!
