A Happy 17 Month Old

Do they ever stop growing so fast? HVN turned 17 months old yesterday. She is in to everything and learning everyday. She's now taking a Kindermusik class and does well for the first thrity minutes, then she is all over the room, still hearing whats going on just doing it her way. Just like a girl!!!

That Smile is Who She Is !!!

Not only is HVN smiling like that cause she's playing with Daddy, but that's the smile we see daily. There's nothing better this side of heaven that warms our hearts like this face. This is another Christmas phto taken by my good friend AC.

Friends Are So Special

We are so thrilled that Hope's friend, Ireland was able to attend our Youth Christmas Party. They are going to be such good buddies. Ireland is about four months older than HVN, they get along so wonderfully.

Hide and Go Seek

This is so funny to me as Hope picks the most obvious places to hide when we play this game. She most definently wants you to find her and continually pursue her. Especially with her daddy, she has a way of getting him to pursue her. Isn't it just like a woman to want that special man to pursue us. She's got it down. Her face says it all in this photo...when I write this I can just hear her giggle just by looking at the picture.

All Dressed Up in Her Christmas Colors

We were headed out the door for evening church and I snapped a quick shot. She is fascinated by the Christmas Tree everyday. Her face lights up when the lights come on, she searches for the old family birdhouse ornament as it goes "tweat tweat", she rearranges, she brings certain ones to me with a look of curiosity and a smile that says "I love this"! We are having so much fun with Hope and are eternally grateful for her life.

HVN's 1st Christmas Shoes

This year our tree is decked out in ribbon and pretty plastic/soft ornaments. We have little hands that have been anxious to touch it all, so we let her. She understands instructions and will put them back after we've said the color and exactly what it is. That seems to be much of our conversation around here as HVN is learning to talk. She especaially loves her 1st Christmas shoes and points to them regularly to let me know they are "shoes"...as those little lips pucker making the "sh" sound. It's so sweet I capture a kiss everytime. What a gift we have in such a precious little girl!!!
